About
I’m a freelance record producer who has worked with a wide range of artists and genres throughout the UK and around the world over the past 7 years or so. I run license and sync consultancy alongside artist production and development. The company provides a boutique production to commercialisation route, ultimately leading to licensing and sync opportunities from a pool of contacts or by using outsourced international publishers.
Recent projects include the likes of 19 Entertainment producing and co-writing with some of their artists, worked with Brit Award winner Alex Turner from the Arctic Monkeys on some solo tracks, co-written tracks with the Grammy award winner Corinne Bailey Rae and MOBO prize winner Soweto Kinch, worked with Reverend and the makers co-wrote and remixed tracks on his album, and have helped artists through production and development to go on to work with the likes of Rick Rubin and Guy Chambers.
Alongside the commercial work I do, I devote time also to Producing content and networking advocates who want to see equality in collaborative opportunities for musicians, music producers and film-makers, who believe in facilitating the inspiring and empowering nature of creativity. This organisation is called Sound Thread
My production company has been at the forefront of recent recording projects in Romania and throughout Eastern Europe. We run technical training workshops over there with Wigwam Acoustics one of the largest suppliers and producers of sound recording equipment in Europe. We are on the second album production in Romania and in the 4th year of a music festival.
This video is of my recent trip to Mexico where we were involved in a number of collaborative productions and performances around the country.
The next project is dew to take place in Sudan. We are planning to build a recording studio and to and facilitate an initiative for the people of Juba to produce and distribute music. This project will start with producing a collaboration album with Kanda Bongo man and other Sudanese artists.
I am developing a website incorporating new advanced meta-data technologies which would host a catalogue of specialist music from these projects. Also because of our strive to advocacy we are currently looking at incorporating a micro finance section of the website to facilitate production of particularly specialised niche music from artists whom would not normally be able to afford the recordings.
